GOFL Thursday night round up

Thursday night results from the Greater Ottawa Fastball League.

Quyon Flyers 8 Kanata Pirates 1
In the first of a doubleheader in Q-town, the home town Flyers beat the visiting Pirates 8-1 in a five inning run rule game. Matt Greer earned the win for Quyon while Derick Bulley took the loss with relief from Jason Smith. Greer, Shawn Laframboise, and Dennis McCleary all had two-run homers for Quyon.

Quyon Flyers 6 I4C Victory 1
The Flyers won the late game as well, with a 6-1 win over I4C Victory. The game was conceded after five with I4C down five runs to ensure they made the Ferry closing. Matt Greer again had the pitching win. Andrew Putnam took the loss. Brothers Joe and Dennis McCleary both had home runs for the Flyers. Curtis Daley also had a three RBI triple.

Stittsville 56ers 0 Micksburg Twins 0
In a classic pitchers' duel in Micksburg (on Cogeco Cable TV), the Twins and 56ers finished in a 0-0 tie. Dan Konkle threw a one-hitter for Stittsville, while Corey Costello chucked a two-hitter for Micksburg.
