Quyon wins close game 2-1 over West Carleton

In a tight game in Quyon on Thursday night in the Greater Ottawa Fastball League, the home town Flyers defeated their cross-river rivals from Fitzroy Harbour by a score of 2-1.

Matt Greer had the win for Quyon while Jeff Barber took the loss for West Carleton Electric.

Jeff Barber's solo home run in the top of the first put WC on the board.

Quyon loaded the bases on three walks in the bottom of the first but Barber got out of the inning with a srikeout.

Greer's solo homer in the fifth tied things at 1.

In the bottom of the seventh, a walk off RBI double by Shawn Laframboise scored Dave Hobbs to win the game and earn himself the Caveman's Choice as player of the game for his clutch hit.
